INTRODUCTION
In the glass manufacturing industry, measuring very small distances (um) can be done by optical systems using high-resolution cameras and large zoom lenses. However, when using these devices, the camera sensor is very sensitive to noise, thereby reducing the quality of the captured image. Furthermore, when using a lens with a high magnification factor, the working distance is even smaller, which is very easy to cause collisions during the movement of the measured object.

AVA's solution (AVA-SuperResolution) is based on the synthesis of multiple images taken with low magnification lenses while moving the camera sensor in steps smaller than the sensor pixel size. The use of low magnification lenses increases the working distance, thereby reducing collisions during movement. At the same time, the image synthesis algorithm can increase the resolution of the system by 3 times, thereby improving image quality and making measurements possible.
